Kennywood Lights

Every year, Kennywood does something really cool - they literally cover the park in holiday lights, set up Santa, smores, and open a few rides to the public. We've often felt Kennywood's new management (no longer a local family-run business) has done a terrible job - bad service, higher prices, etc. - but, this is something they do right. We weren't able to go last year because of the weather, but we were so happy to have an unseasonably warm weekend last weekend.
You enter the park under a tunnel of red lights.
Sensory explosion!
AJ and I met while working at Kennywood in 1997. I had just graduated high school, and he was a cocky undergrad. We started dating in 1999, and we have many fond memories of our time at the park. We still have some wonderful friends we made while working there, so it is always fun to go back and see how things have changed over the years.
14 years later, where it all began!
Jack had no interest in riding (which was odd),
but he was more than happy to hang out with his grandparents.

Jack still had some post-traumatic-stress from his Santa visit. (Note that there was NO Santa picture this year. Jack about hyperventilated in fear, which caused Ethan to panic that Santa wouldn't bring Jack any gifts. It was quite a scene.) He would go NOWHERE NEAR this snowman, but Ethan was very cute to smile with him. Maybe next year, Jack.
