Sunday Sillies

After a week of running all over town, we really enjoyed a lazy Sunday around the house. Though it was lazy, it was not boring in the least. For instance, first thing this morning, we got up to take Bailey outside and were greeted by this MONSTER spider.
It had constructed a HUGE web that covered most of our deck. AJ came to the rescue and snuck around the side with some mega bug killer. Ethan, sick as it is, got a big kick out of watching the spider hang and convulse to its death right in front of our window.

Ethan had to get a bath this morning because we got home too late from Kennywood last night. He had a blast filling up his cup with water. Over and over, he would say "Look! There's bubbles in there. Hi, bubbles!" Then he would dump the cup and say "Where'd the bubbles go?" At least he entertained himself.
After his nap, we got a pleasant surprise visit from my mom. She is feeling better and was dying to get out of the house and spend time with Ethan. He lit up when he saw her! We spent some time outside:
And in the basement. He loves pressing his face on the mesh of his tent and gives kisses to Minnie Mouse. Grandparents come up with odd ways to entertain children...
After his bath, he was CRAZY. He ran around in his bunny towel/cape for 25 minutes with this stupid (well, just LOUD) lawnmower toy. I really should have videotaped him - he was giggling to insanity. He actually pulled off his towel and continued mowing in the nude, but I'll spare you those pictures.

Love the towel pics! He was really wound up. I enjoyed spending time with him. He's my favorite little guy.

The part about the spider is hilarious. Only E would get a kick out of watching a bug lapse into a coma.............

Reading stories about him always makes me laugh and smile! He is a hoot.

That spider? So big! I would have freaked. Cool picture, though!
