Today after school, we took Ethan to his two year check up. He is 29 lbs, 34.75 inches. He is in the 50% for both height and weight. He did VERY well. He was very calm while being examined and cried for just a quick moment while getting his one shot. He got over it as soon as he got his pretzel from the nurse :-)
We are in the home stretch of this school year. AJ's last day is Wednesday; mine is Thursday. I only have 4.5 days with students. It is unbelievable how fast this school year has gone by! It's getting to be the point where everyone needs a little break from one another. The kids are bonkers. I'd rather be doing stuff around the house. It's time.
We are really looking forward to the summer. In less than two weeks, we take Ethan on his first family vacation. We are headed east with AJ's parents and my mom - we are going to spend a few days at my very generous cousin Tami's shore house, spend a day at Sesame Place and an afternoon at the Philly Children's Museum. We cannot wait to see Ethan touch the sand and venture into the waves. He will undoubtedly light up when he experiences Sesame Place - a place that seems tailor-made for him. It's funny how our definition of a good vacation has changed since having Ethan. We just want him to experience things; our joy comes from watching him. Seriously, rewind 5 years - our ideal vacation would not have included our parents and a kiddie theme park!
Other than that, we will keep busy around the house. My goal is to have every scrap of wallpaper out of this house by August! We are so close - just the kitchen and our gigantic entryway. AJ has a full-load of voice students and I am teaching summer school. Always busy!
