Party Time!.

In honor of Ethan's birthday, there will be two posts - today and tomorrow.

His cake was amazing :-)

We had his party today. AJ and I have been working like maniacs to get the house ready for company. It is now 8:45 pm; the guests have left, the mess has been cleaned. We are exhausted.

We had a FABULOUS day! Ethan had his last swimming lesson, which went really well. After his nap, he got ready and was greeted by 20 some friends and family members. We had beautiful weather and yummy food.

E's wonderful babysitter, a.k.a. "Teen Teen"

Ethan ran around like a maniac. He was really impressed by his new toy from Grammy and Papa - an awesome water table/pirate ship :-) It was the hit of the party! In about 10 minutes, he was soaked and loved every minute of it!

He was also impressed by the two beautiful ladies who partied with him today.

We got a special treat, too - AJ's dad and uncle Bryan spear-headed the plan to put together Ethan's swing set! This swing set was free - a teacher at my school was getting rid of it and gave it to us. Pretty awesome! We still have to anchor it in, but it looks great! Our babysitter's husband offered to help, too - THANK YOU! See, come to a Kovall party and we'll put you to work :-)

He got some really wonderful gifts. Our friends and family were so generous - we have a very spoiled child.

We put our very tired (and filthy) child in the tub and brought him out to explore his loot. A few favorites:

I am headed to bed! Ethan's official birthday is tomorrow. We plan on a very low-key day. We will be playing outside and relaxing with Grandma. Please check back tomorrow for a really sweet slideshow :-)
