Wild About Idlewild

On Friday, we met AJ's parents and spent the day at Idlewild. It is one of the best parks for young kids, and both boys had a blast. We got there right at 10:30 and stayed until about 6 - not bad for two little guys!

We started the day in Storybook Forest. Not too exciting, but cute nonetheless.

Then we headed to Jumpin Jungle - everyone had a blast here, even AJ...
Jack has a thing with balls, so he was perfectly content to throw them around and watch them fly around this little caged area.
Ethan did so well on this rope net - he climbed all the way up really fast, with no help. Daddy did well, too, but was pretty tired afterwards.
And then came the ball pit. Insanity. Ethan loved burying himself in the balls and jumping in.

Jackson played quite seriously in there. He always had a ball in each hand, banging them around, throwing them around, etc. Poor baby sobbed uncontrollably when our time was up. He got over it and found a new love - the carousel. He went on there I think four times in a row.

My loves.
We spent a few hours (out of the HEAT!) in the water park. I haven't been in there in YEARS, and it was a blast. Ethan spent a lot of time in the wave pool and on the kid slides. Jackson just splashed wherever he could.

What better way to end the day than this as your dinner? After all, he was going home with Grammy and Papa - I didn't care if he got a sugar rush...
The boys spent Saturday night with AJ's parents, too - we were so productive without them here! We organized EVERYTHING - our garage is so labelled and in order. I don't think it's looked like that in the two years we've lived here. I went through bins and bins of clothes. We have tons and tons to donate. We actually have storage space available in our house. Purging is awesome. So are date nights, so thank you, grandparents!
