Lazy Days of Summer

Today starts our first full week of summer. It's incredible. We got up between 7 (which is sleeping in - one of the dumb dumbs normally has us up by 6), took Ethan to preschool, grocery shopped in a nearly empty store. Jack took a glorious morning nap. I reintroduced myself to the treadmill I abandoned last month.

I have already read two wonderful books since school let out on Thursday. We are finally catching up on shows we DVR'd moths ago. On sunny days, I spend the time of the boys' afternoon nap out in our hammock, reading and listening to my iPod in the glorious weather.

The boys have been great - Jack is the cutest, happiest child. He's super close to walking and is really into eating everything in sight. Ethan is content so long as we put him in the pool at some point during the day. We work in the yard and work on swapping our master bedroom for the playroom - all of this is much easier and much more enjoyable when we don't have to worry about school.

Life is good.
