Weekly Check In & Photo Dump

It's official - time is flying! We are getting ready to celebrate AJ's birthday this weekend. We started off the festivities with our annual trek to Beni Hana with our friends. They do this amazing special if you are on their email list - you get a free meal on your birthday, so we go twice a year :-) We ate a TON of amazing food, and laughed heartily with our kooky friends. It was a great way to start celebrating. Ethan is currently preoccupied with what kind of cake we need to get Daddy. I'm thinking we'll end up with one of these choices: Star Wars, Angry Birds, or Minions. You know. Because those are AJ's favorite things.
Ethan got to go to a Penguin game this weekend with Grammy and Papa. He was mostly excited about three things (besides getting to spend the night at their house): 1) NACHOS 2) players banging into the glass and 3) getting to ride the T. He had a really great time, and he came home with an awesome new jersey. He was so excited - he just HAD to wear it to school today. He even kept it pretty clean all day :-)
He got his nachos!
Modeling his new shirt
Poor guy was POOPED! Too much cheering.
Jack's speaking has really taken off. Truly, we have another chatterbox as he never shuts up. It is pretty funny, some of the conversations he has with us. For instance, here is one exchange between Jack and I:

Jack: Tubby time now?
Me: Not yet, bud.
Jack: Aww. Jack sad. Well then, time for night night?
Me: Not yet, Jack.
Jack: How about a story then? Or pancakes. Call Grandma. I miss Daddy. I farted.
Me: Seriously. What is happening here?

He is still obsessed with planets. We've been finding documentaries on YouTube for him to watch.
Waiting for a cake pop in the Starbucks drive-thru.
He called it his 'special tweet.'
We are also about ready to start potty training for him. He is definitely more aware of what is going on in his diaper and when he needs to...make a deposit...if you catch my drift. But, Jack walks to the beat of his own drum. We will have to see the path he wants to take on potty training. Though he's our free spirit, he definitely will not be forced to do something too soon.
Seriously - isn't this pose the best?
He was watching a princess show - Sophia the First.
We are enjoying our musical-free life, but still manage to have something to do each night. Even if it's just getting in a run or taking Ethan to gymnastics, there is always somewhere to be and something to do. We can't wait to get to do things in warmer weather, but for now, we bundle up and read stories, watch solar system movies, and wait for spring to really get here.
