Happy 7 Months, Jackson :-)

It's the 16th of a brand new month, and my little man is one month older. It's been a great month, marked by a first tooth AND a first ear infection. He has handled everything in stride; we had a few grumpy days and nights, but he gets over things quickly. He is such a sweet baby that when he is sad, it is just heartbreaking. We've been so lucky that days like that are few and far between.
Jack is quite the explorer - he, like his brother, is very nosy. He loves to check things out, and he loves it even more when he can reach those things and put them in his mouth. He even tried to snag AJ's steak at dinner the other night...Speaking of dinner - he is a wonderful eater. We've been trying some organic foods that have many more flavor options. Jackson likes it all. He was a bit timid about a spinach mix due to the color, but once he tasted it, he loved that, too. I'm hoping to have one child who doesn't want to live on mac n cheese and chicken nuggets.
Can you see his little tooth?
He loves sitting in the high chair
He coos all the time and often sings himself to sleep. Cutest. Thing. Ever. He is sitting up independently pretty well. He still gets pretty excited about things and falls over, but he is still making progress. He loves to get into crawling position, but has yet to actually crawl. I'm ok with that! He is a fast roller, and we really have to watch him. He is just desperate to get under the couch and tv stand; dum-dum doesn't realize he doesn't fit. He is a bit bonkers - we think Ethan might have gotten all the brains :-) Jack likes to bang his head on the crib rails. Why? Who knows. He does it over and over sometimes and just laughs, except when he does it accidentally at night. Not so funny then, genius...
Dum-dum stopped to eat his sock...
He and Ethan are sweet playmates - Jack already really wants anything that Ethan has, and Ethan (naturally) tries desperately to keep Jack from his toys. Ethan will grab his Lightening McQueen from Jack's grasp, but he is sweet enough to offer Jack his own toy to play with instead. Jack doesn't care at all - he seems to be content to just be near his brother. Love it.
Very cute, despite the bed-head
