**3 out of 4 of the pics on this post were taken Saturday night at AJ's musical. He did a great job, as did his kids, and we were happy to take Ethan for a little bit. He looked quite dapper, and he sat very quietly for 40 minutes before looking too tired to last any longer. As we walked out of the show, Ethan yelled "I don't need to go to bed. I just woke up." He was out like a light as soon as we got home.**
How cute are they?

Ethan has been quite the chatterbox lately and has had quite a few zingers...

1. Ethan made a huge mess in his room after school one day - he got into his closet and started throwing toys and clothes all over the place. He called me in, sort of upset, to show me the mess he made. He said, "Mommy want to clean this?" I, of course, said no. A few minutes later, my mom came home, so he thought he'd try her. The rest of the conversation went like this:

E: Grandma clean my mess?
G: I didn't make the mess, Ethan. Who did?
E: Me.
G: Well, then who should clean it up?
E: YOU.
He loved being on the stage and asked for a microphone...
2. While getting a poopy diaper changed (he is still unwilling to do that on the potty), my mom asked him if he would ever poop on the potty. He replied, very quickly and seriously, that yes, he would, but not today.
Checking out the kids and instruments.
3. We've started saying prayers with him each night. We go through all of our family members, with special shout outs to Finley for her eyes, his growing baby brother, and now Nanny as she battles lung cancer. Friday night, however, Ethan took care of his own prayers. He said, in this order, "I pray for mommy and daddy, Buzz (Lightyear from Toy Story), and my pj's."
This is how he chose to watch tv this morning.
** Now that the musical is over, AJ can get to work on MY projects :-) We will be sanding and painting our kitchen since there is NO more yellow, gingham wallpaper. And, we will be painting the baby's room. And, we will be redoing our two upstairs bathrooms (really, there is no "we" in this project. I've already painted and decorated. AJ - and probably his dad at some point - will be replacing our sinks and toilets. Fun job, yes?). And, we will be upgrading E's room with a twin bed and big boy dresser. The musical sounds easy now, huh, AJ?!?!**
