One Month Old!

It's hard to believe, but today is Ethan's 1 Month Birthday! He is already growing and changing so much. He has been having colic issues lately, but today was a really good day. We had no long crying spells, and any time he fussed, we were able to comfort him within a few minutes. If only every day could be like this! My mom came to visit today and will be here until tomorrow evening - it is nice having extra company, especially because AJ taught lessons all day today. She and I took Ethan on a 2 mile walk around the neighborhood, went to Kohls, Babies R Us, and Old Navy. He was quite the shopper today! The car really calms him down. Then, after his 7 p.m. feeding, we gave him his bath. He has started to really love them. We put a little bit of lavender baby wash in the tub and he loved it! He hung out in there for a little bit and came out of the tub so alert and pleasant! He is always like that, but today was a big day - he was cooing and smiling at me and at his Pitt teddy bear (take that Mountaineers!). It was the cutest thing! We have noticed that lately, he is much more aware of his surroundings and has been reacting to them. In fact, we put him in his bouncer this morning and had him watch Baby Mozart - he really followed the odd objects on there. But, the whole thing with the teddy bear was hysterical! He was giggling and reaching for it - so cute!
