Happy 9 Months, Jackson :-)

What to say about little man this month? For starters, he has 4 teeth! His fourth one FINALLY popped through this week, and he is much more pleasant. We had a rough string of nights where he would wake up every couple of hours and just be sad. I am going to enjoy these peaceful, restful nights we have until the next tooth wants to make an appearance.
It's hard to get him to sit in the chair.
God help the professional photographer
he is going to next weekend.
He's developing quite a personality - he is VERY nosy! As soon as you pick him up, he is twisting and turning to see where you are taking him. He has the best, hearty laugh in the world. He loves to be startled (i.e., if we clap loud or make toys 'jump' in our hands), and he loves the tub. He is perfectly content to sit in there and splash up a storm. His favorite toy is a Mickey Mouse my mom bought him for Christmas - he lights up as soon as he sees it, coos and baby-talks and brings it in for a big, wet hug. So, so cute.
Happy Boy!
He has a new nickname this month, courtesy of his father - 'mobile infantry'. Jack has mastered crawling like a normal baby and is ALL OVER THE PLACE! It is non-stop action for him. He typically tears after the dog, our shoes, Ethan's cars, Ethan, etc. Poor Ethan runs around like crazy trying to pick up his toys. We have put up our baby gate at the steps, but I feel like we need to bubble wrap the entire house. Ethan, though always rough, has always been a bit cautious. We never had to worry about him running into corners of furniture or anything. Jack is an entirely different story. The kid bonks his head off of everything. I need to get on that baby-proofing, pronto!
Fat baby LOVES to eat. We have to watch - we can't eat anything in front of him that we cannot share. That does not go over well with him. When we put little finger foods down, particularly his puffs, he goes NUTS and shovels them in, sometimes with two hands. It is a riot! We have to watch and not put too many down at once because dumb-dumb will end up with quite a supply in those fat cheeks.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
We tried. This is the best we can get them to look...
