Home Improvement Season

We always laugh that we have two seasons: school and Lowe's, because we spend most of our time at those two places! Summer lived up to Lowe's season this week - we gave the half bath attached to our master bedroom a makeover. Once it is totally done (paint & crown molding needed), I will give you a before and after shot. Trust me - it needed to makeover! The little Italian couple who built this house used the smallest vanity possible - AJ couldn't even see the top of his head in the mirror :-) And, all of the fixtures were yucky brass. The toilet was stained and would randomly (and loudly) run. After many trips to Lowe's (seriously - we did so many returns and exchanges, our billing statement is going to look insane this month!), it looks SO much better. Thanks to Ted Kovall (aka, Ted the Builder)!
Ethan is learning!
So very helpful to Papa
He loved the tape measurer
Jack had his first bath in his tub this week.
He was not a fan...
AJ's parents spent the night on Thursday which allowed AJ and I to have a date. Dinner and Harry Potter - a great night! It was nice to have adult time, plus get to sleep through the night.
The boys enjoyed themselves, too :-)
Jack spent most of his time sleeping...
Ethan chose to do this instead of napping...
We are all doing well, trying to stay cool! This heat is crazy. I'm sure it won't seem as unbearable in February when we are buried under snow...
My favorite pic of Jack and I :-)
